Devin Jones faces attempted murder after Fallbrook standoff

San Diego County deputies arrested a 43-year-old woman after she shot her boyfriend during a domestic dispute early Monday morning. Devin Jones fired a rifle through her trailer window at the victim following an argument that began with knife threats. The bullet struck the man's head, causing a skull laceration that medical staff described as potentially fatal. Emergency responders transported him to a medical facility where he received treatment and was later discharged.

The shooting occurred before 1 a.m. at a residence on Avo Drive in Fallbrook. Jones retreated inside her trailer and refused to surrender to law enforcement officers. The Sheriff's Special Enforcement Detail deployed SWAT personnel to handle the barricade situation. Authorities successfully apprehended Jones without additional violence around 5:30 a.m. She faces attempted murder charges at Vista Detention Facility.
