A property company called Craft Holdings just handed out ten serviced residential plots to people with disabilities in Kadoma's Holyland suburb, and they threw in approved building plans for each recipient. Minister Marian Chombo showed up and praised the move as lining up with the government's goal of getting everyone to middle-income status by 2030 without leaving anybody behind.
CEO Kudakwashe Taruberekera said the whole thing was about restoring dignity rather than doing charity, and philanthropist Jimayi Muduvuri backed the initiative while calling on other businesses to step up. One beneficiary mentioned finally getting stability after years of landlords kicking them out because of albinism, and another shipment of 150 wheelchairs for disabled students is apparently coming soon to support inclusive education policies.
