Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Depart Everton as Free Agent This Summer

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Dominic Calvert-Lewin will depart Everton without any transfer fee this summer. The striker's current deal expires at the end of June. Everton failed to convince the England international to sign a new contract. Multiple teams have expressed interest in acquiring his services. Calvert-Lewin will join his next club as a free agent.

The 27-year-old forward has spent several seasons at Goodison Park. He has appeared in 273 games for the Merseyside club during his time there. Calvert-Lewin found the back of the net 71 times across all competitions. The striker also created 22 assists for his teammates. His departure represents a significant loss for Everton's attacking options.

Romano's announcement confirms months of speculation about the player's future. Contract talks between Calvert-Lewin and Everton broke down earlier this year. The club could not meet the striker's demands for a new deal. Several European teams have already made contact with his representatives. Calvert-Lewin can negotiate with any interested club without paying a transfer fee.
