Dzulkefly Ahmad hails AI health revolution as Malaysia eyes regional dominance

Malaysia has transformed 156 health clinics with advanced cloud-based management systems that serve patients faster than ever before. Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad reported that seven out of ten patients receive treatment within 30 minutes under these artificial intelligence reforms. The ministry completed the first phase of electronic medical records covering five million prescriptions and 20 million vaccination entries. MySejahtera has evolved into a comprehensive health platform for prevention and national digital services. Google and Malaysian health officials are developing partnerships to tackle major medical challenges through artificial intelligence.

The nation leads Southeast Asia as the 2025 ASEAN Chair while promoting regional health data cooperation and ethical AI applications. Dzulkefly opened the Precision Public Health Asia 2025 Conference, where 500 regional delegates and eight technology companies gathered. Health leaders shared goals of creating personalized and data-driven medical systems across Asia. Malaysia actively implements precision public health rather than treating it as a future concept. These advances build foundations for sustainable and competitive healthcare delivery.
