ECG Plans Power Outage in Tema for Maintenance

The Electricity Company of Ghana has alerted residents about power cuts affecting Tema and Ogbojo areas. Repair crews plan to work on equipment in Tema on Sunday, March 2, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. These repairs will help ECG deliver better service to its customers.

Several neighborhoods across Tema will experience electricity outages during this time frame. Affected areas include Star Steel, Dawhenya Township, Abbey Kope, Adotey, Miotso, Ghanaian Soccer Academy, Abia, Prampram, Kpoi Ete, Central University, Ososhie, P.S. Global, Devtraco, Methodist Junction and surrounding communities. ECG has expressed regret for any difficulties these outages may cause.

Residents of Ogbojo currently face an ongoing power outage due to equipment failure. The blackout affects Ogbojo Asafoatse, Otinshie, Ability, Dzen Ayor, Rev. Owusu Bempah area, Galaxy International School, and Twumasewaa Hospital area. ECG technicians have identified a damaged underground cable as the source of the problem.

Repair teams are actively working to fix the faulty cable and restore electricity to all affected homes and businesses. ECG asks residents to remain patient during the repair process. The company has committed to bringing back power as quickly as possible and thanks customers for their understanding during these necessary service interruptions.
