Epworth Residents Hustle Hard for Title Deeds and Cash

The government is helping people in Epworth get title deeds for their homes. Title deeds are important papers that show you own your house. Almost 4,000 people in Epworth have asked for these papers since April.

Dr. Wilton Mhanda works for the Epworth Local Board. He said many people are excited about this program, which will make it easier for them to get their title deeds.

People who live in Glenwood are very interested. They are working hard to apply for their title deeds, even coming on weekends to fill out the forms.

Other places in Epworth, such as Chinamano, Overspill, Adelaide, Rockville, and Chiremba, can also apply for title deeds. But first, they need to do a title survey. A title survey shows exactly where their land is and what is on it.

Dr. Mhanda said there are about 45,000 houses in Epworth. To get a title deed, the house must be built according to a government-approved plan.

Some people in Epworth live in wetlands. The government wants to find new land for them to live on and ensure everyone has a good place to live.
