Equity Bank Uganda Strengthens Media Ties with Nation Media Visit

Equity Bank Uganda boss Gift Shoko dropped by Nation Media Group offices Thursday for some serious business talk. The banking chief brought along two top women from his team to chat about working together better. Olivia Mugaba handles small business banking and Clare Tumwebaze runs marketing for the bank. Susan Nsibirwa from Nation Media welcomed them with her crew of managers and editors. The meeting happened at Nation Media headquarters in Namwongo.

Nation Media runs newspapers, TV stations, and radio shows across East Africa. Nsibirwa told the banking team about all their different media outlets that could help spread Equity Bank stories. She thanked Equity Bank for backing their Top 100 program for three straight years. The media company wants to keep this partnership going strong. Both sides see chances to work together on bigger projects.

Shoko bragged that his bank takes care of 2.3 million customers around Uganda. Equity Bank focuses on helping farmers, small businesses, and manufacturers grow their money. The bank also helps refugees, young people, and women get affordable loans. Energy and environmental projects matter to them as well. Both companies want to tell better stories about helping youth and women succeed.

The two teams agreed to explore new ways to work together on content creation. They plan to meet again soon to hash out details about future partnerships. Nation Media could help Equity Bank reach more people across East Africa through their news outlets.
