Ex-Hitman devs drop MOBA roguelite, loot chaos ensues

A new co-op roguelite from industry veterans, Raiders of Blackveil, just hit early access on PC. The game comes from Wombo Games, a Copenhagen studio founded by Hitman co-creator Janos Flösser. Their team includes ex-IO Interactive and Square Enix devs with credits on major titles like Tomb Raider and Deus Ex.

This MOBA-inspired action RPG lets players choose a champion and build them out across eight classes. The progression system uses over three hundred perks and various loot drops. Executive producer Benjamin Flösser stated that their early access goal was to solidify the core gameplay with player feedback before expanding the project.

Wombo Games plans a full 1.0 launch sometime in 2026. They did not announce a specific timeline for the early access period, however. The studio emphasized that player input during this phase will directly shape the game's future development.
