Ex-teacher in hot water after buying stolen water gear

The police caught five men who stole things that didn't belong to them in Kavango West. Between 2024 and 2025, these men went to different villages called Siko, Musese, and Nzinze and stole important items.

The thieves took water pumps that help people get clean water. They also stole solar panels that make electricity from the sun, and they took copper wire. The police at Kahenge started looking into these crimes right away.

The police worked very hard on Thursday and found most of the stolen things. They found two solar panels, three water pumps, a panga knife, an axe, and some copper wire. They also found the person who bought these stolen things—a 57-year-old man who used to be a teacher. He lives in Nzinze village and puts the stolen water parts on his farm. He paid very little money for them because he knew they were stolen.

The police will take all these men to court in Kahenge on Monday. They are still looking for one more person who helped steal the things. The police keep working to make sure they find everything that was stolen and catch everyone who was involved.
