ExeKiller revives CyberWestern dreams with non-linear bounty hunting

Vaporware allegations just got beaten back because this project finally resurfaced from development hell. Polish developer Paradark Studio dropped fresh gameplay footage for ExeKiller during the New Game+ Showcase to prove they still exist. The team went quiet after releasing a clip back in 2023 following the initial reveal way back in 2021.

You control Denzel Fenix inside this CyberWestern world where he works as a bounty hunter for the Helion Corporation. His main gig involves tracking down fugitives to snatch digital implants called SOULs that the government uses to monitor everyone.

Survival mechanics look brutal since inventory space stays limited while supply costs remain absurdly high. The wasteland environment actively tries to delete players using radiation zones and lethal sandstorms alongside extreme temperatures that drain health.

Combat relies on mixing firearms with gadgets or environmental hazards to survive random encounters. Denzel utilizes cybernetic implants to boost perception for finding clues without relying on those annoying floating waypoints found in modern titles.

Missions offer complete freedom since objectives lack specific solutions or guided paths. You can finish contracts through stealth or dialogue instead of just blasting everyone. Decisions actually shape the story and lead toward multiple different endings.

PC users can wishlist the title on Steam immediately. The creators confirmed that console ports sit on the roadmap for future release.
