Exodus and Company's slow roadworks paralyse Mashonaland Central

Construction crews advance rehabilitation efforts along the Harare-Kanyemba Highway as part of Zimbabwe's Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme. The ambitious infrastructure project spans over 350 kilometers and represents a transformative initiative for Mashonaland Central Province. Motorists express enthusiasm about the dualisation plans, which they believe will substantially reduce traffic accidents on the currently narrow roadway. The upgraded highway promises to enhance safety standards while creating new economic opportunities throughout the region. Local residents anticipate increased tourism and business development as direct benefits of the improved transportation corridor.

The modernized route will establish vital connections to neighboring nations such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Enhanced trade relationships should emerge from these improved cross-border transportation links. Business communities expect significant growth opportunities as accessibility improves for both domestic and international travelers. Tourist destinations within the province may experience increased visitor numbers due to better road conditions and easier travel access. Urban residents will find rural areas more accessible through the upgraded highway system.

Engineer Arnold Jeme from Exodus and Company provides progress updates on the current construction phase. Workers focus their efforts between the new Parliament junction and Blueridge areas. The contractor expects completion of both the new carriage way and existing road surfaces by year's end. Construction will then extend toward Mazowe town with plans for two additional bridge structures. The comprehensive project aims to stimulate investments across mining, transportation, and related industrial sectors throughout Mashonaland Central Province.
