The Pintasan incumbent stated that the accusations were a malicious attempt to damage his reputation, suggesting his detractors lacked substantive campaign issues.
He clarified that a separate financial transaction, a five-thousand-ringgit deposit from a businessman, was a documented donation for a Covid-19 food aid program and not a personal payment.
