Farmer Mike Pryor killed after abduction in Mpophomeni

A KwaZulu-Natal farmer, Mike Pryor, was abducted from his Kwa Heri Farm home in the Indezi Valley and later found murdered. According to the uMngeni Local Municipality, his remains were discovered inside his burnt-out vehicle in the nearby area of Mpophomeni.

Deputy Mayor Sandile Mnikathi expressed profound shock at the incident, extending condolences to Pryor’s family and friends. Preliminary information from the South African Police Service suggests a possible connection to a disgruntled former employee. Authorities have opened a murder investigation and are actively searching for a suspect.

The killing has deeply unsettled the local farming community, prompting calls for increased vigilance and enhanced security measures in rural areas.
