FC Platinum hands MWOS first home defeat as Simba Bhora widens gap in title race

FC Platinum handed MWOS their initial home defeat with a convincing 2-0 victory at Norton. The loss marked the third setback for the debutants this season following earlier defeats against Yadah and Ngezi Platinum. Coach Lloyd Mutasa faces mounting pressure as his team falls three points behind table leaders Simba Bhora. The gap emerged after defending champions Simba Bhora secured a narrow 1-0 triumph over struggling Dynamos. Title contenders must address their recent form to maintain championship aspirations.

Scottland demonstrated resilience by overcoming Highlanders 2-1 at Rufaro Stadium through Terrence Dzvukamanja's double strike. The Warriors striker has transformed the Mabvuku outfit since his mid-season arrival from South Africa. Additional points from their awarded victory against Chicken Inn propelled Scottland to 37 points. TelOne occupies fourth position with 34 points while the bottom tier features Manica Diamonds, Triangle United, Dynamos, and Kwekwe United with 21, 20, 15, and nine points respectively.
