Ngezi end MWOS run as Simba Bhora top the league

MWOS faced their first loss after going 16 games without defeat. Ngezi Platinum beat them at Baobab Stadium and ended their amazing streak. Simba Bhora jumped to first place after winning 1-0 against Yadah. Joel Luphahla's team leads the table with one point more than MWOS. Lloyd Mutasa's squad had never lost before this tough match.

Obriel Chirinda scored for Ngezi within two minutes of kickoff. Billy Veremu evened things up for MWOS after 19 minutes of play. Both teams went to halftime tied at one goal each. Ashwin Karengesha put Ngezi ahead again after 55 minutes. Chirinda struck his second goal at 73 minutes to seal the victory.

Blessing Moyo scored a stunning free kick for Simba Bhora against Yadah. His shot found the top corner during the second half. Triangle crushed Greenfuel 5-1 for the day's biggest win. CAPS United easily defeated Kwekwe United 2-0 at Rufaro Stadium. Highlanders and Chicken Inn played to a boring 0-0 draw.

Dynamos and FC Platinum had their match stopped after a penalty dispute. The teams were tied 1-1 when Dynamos players walked off the field. Their coach Saul Chaminuka ordered the protest over referee Qedisani Dirwai's penalty call. Vusa Ngwenya had given Dynamos an early lead with a header. Thando Ngwenya scored for FC Platinum after halftime when he intercepted a back pass.
