FEROCIOUS lets you control dinos in a new shooter adventure

Publisher tinyBuild has set a December 4 launch date for FEROCIOUS, an indie first-person shooter arriving on Steam. The Unity-powered title comes from OMYOG, a small development team combining AAA gaming veterans and film industry professionals under the creative direction of Leonard Saalfrank, whose King Kong inspiration shaped the project's vision.

Players must navigate an island environment filled with mercenaries and prehistoric creatures while managing scarce supplies. A standout mechanic allows gamers to command certain dinosaur species through a fictional brain-scanning device that mimics their vocalizations via ultrasonic frequencies. Controlled reptiles can assault targets, clear obstacles, retrieve objects, or accompany players depending on individual species capabilities and intelligence levels.

The Steam listing details system specifications requiring at a minimum a GTX 1060 graphics card, 12 GB memory, and 25 GB storage space for the Windows platform. Pricing information remains unannounced ahead of the release.
