Community-created modifications for the PC release of Final Fantasy Tactics have restored previously removed content and introduced fresh gameplay elements, according to a player who recently completed a 61-hour campaign. Modder Dana Crysalis has reintegrated the Dark Knight and Onion Knight job classes that were excluded from the War of the Lions edition, alongside guest characters Balthier and Luso. The Dark Knight requires mastery of six separate job classes before unlocking, while the Onion Knight needs level six proficiency in Squire and Chemist roles.
Additional enhancements include two original job types inspired by the Advance series, Blue Mage and Red Mage, assigned to characters Alicia and Lavian starting in Chapter 2. A separate modification by Serbagz adjusts protagonist Ramza's job designation throughout the narrative, changing from Noble to Mercenary and finally Heretic while adding signature abilities from antagonist Gaffgarion. A level scaling system prevents the expanded content from reducing battle difficulty across story encounters.
