A blaze damaged Pearl Ankrah's home late Saturday evening. Ankrah serves as District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South. The fire started around 10 pm at her bungalow situated in Kodie. Workers had been fixing up the house when flames broke out. Solomon Kwaku Adomako speaks for the DCE and explained what happened.
The damaged area was empty because Ankrah had not moved into the renovated sections. Construction crews were still working to improve the building when the fire began. Firefighters from the Mamponteng Division rushed to the scene after getting the emergency call. They managed to stop the flames from reaching other parts of the house. Nobody got hurt during the incident.
Officials do not know what caused the fire to start. Investigators are looking into the blaze to find out how it began. The quick response from emergency teams saved most of the property from serious damage. Ankrah was not staying at the residence because renovation work was still happening. Authorities will continue studying the scene until they discover what sparked the flames.
