Floyd Shivambu plans new party after leaving MKP and EFF

Floyd Shivambu wants to start a new political party. The former MK Party leader got kicked out after people said he tried to remove Jacob Zuma from power. He says he won't go back to the EFF or join the ANC again.

Shivambu spoke to reporters on Thursday and said regular people told him not to return to the EFF. They called it a cult and he agrees with them. He left the EFF last August to join the MK Party but that didn't work out well.

He plans to talk with church leaders and traditional chiefs about making this new party. Shivambu also wants to ask business people like Patrice Motsepe what they think. He says he hasn't quit the MK Party and never will quit it.

The accusations against him were strange. People said he had magic powers and could make others disappear. Someone wrote a fake report about him trying to overthrow Zuma. He calls these claims weird and untrue.

Shivambu got removed as secretary-general after fights inside the MK Party. Traditional leaders and people from Mpumalanga turned against him. He was the sixth person to hold that job before getting pushed out.
