Fluminense coach happy to play for a draw against Mamelodi Sundowns

Fluminense will face Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday night at 9 PM South African time. The match decides which teams advance from Group F at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Both clubs can reach the knockout rounds with different results.

Sundowns must win to guarantee their spot among the final 16 teams. The South African side might miss out if they draw and Borussia Dortmund beats Ulsan HD. Fluminense only needs one point to move forward.

Renato Gaucho manages the Brazilian team and accepts playing for a tie. He said his squad has every right to seek a draw for qualification. The coach believes any edge helps during important games.

Gaucho knows Sundowns control their fate completely. He warned his players to stay alert after their poor finish against Ulsan. The team cannot afford similar mistakes when comeback chances disappear.

The Brazilian club wants to win and finish first place. A draw still achieves their main goal of advancing. Gaucho stressed that reaching the next round matters most regardless of future opponents.
