Arsenal star Thomas Partey faces serious criminal charges after police finished their investigation. The 32-year-old midfielder must answer to five rape counts and one sexual assault charge when he appears at Westminster Magistrates Court next Tuesday. Metropolitan Police say the crimes happened between 2021 and 2022. Three different women came forward to report the football player. Two rape charges connect to the first woman and three more relate to the second victim.
Partey's contract with Arsenal ended on Monday after four years with the London club. The Ghana international joined the Gunners from Atletico Madrid for a massive 45.3 million pounds back in October 2020. He became a key player under manager Mikel Arteta during his time at the Emirates Stadium. The midfielder helped Arsenal finish second in the Premier League last season.
