Police arrested former lawmaker Naimur Rahman Durjoy at his home Wednesday night. Officers raided his house during a special operation. Durjoy previously served as a member of parliament and worked as a Bangladesh Cricket Board director. The arrest happened at his residence located at Lalmatia area of the capital. Authorities took him to Manikganj Sadar Police Station after the raid.

Authorities also grabbed his land and three vehicles under the court order. The legal system froze twelve bank accounts belonging to the accused man.
