Four people suffered burns after a tank explosion at a home Saturday evening. The blast happened at Tannery intersection area of Hazaribagh's Jigatola during cleaning work. Two young girls and two men were hurt when the accident occurred. Emergency crews rushed the victims to National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 10:45 pm. Md Shahporan transported the injured family members to the medical facility.
The explosion struck when a worker was cleaning the home's reserve water tank. An electric bulb was switched on inside the tank and caused the blast. Gas that had built up inside likely triggered the dangerous explosion. The victims first went to a nearby hospital before doctors moved them to the burn treatment center. Medical staff immediately began caring for the injured patients.
Belal Hossain, a 28-year-old laborer, received the most serious burns covering 17 percent of his body. Md Ziaur Rahman, age 45, sustained burns across 4 percent of his body. His daughter Faria, 8 years old, suffered burns on 5 percent of her body. Four-year-old Raifa had burns covering 6 percent of her body. Dr Shawon Bin Rahman reported that all patients are safe and recovering at the emergency department.
