Frimpong Arrives at Liverpool in Blockbuster Switch

Liverpool completed the signing of Jeremy Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. The 24-year-old Dutch defender passed his medical tests and joined the Reds. Frimpong agreed to a long-term deal at Anfield. The player said he wanted to join Liverpool immediately after they showed interest. He promised to give everything for the team and fans.

Frimpong played 190 games for Leverkusen during his time there. He scored 30 goals and made 44 assists for the German club. The defender helped Leverkusen win both the league and cup last season. He earned spots on the Bundesliga best team for two straight years. His performances made him one of Europe's top defenders.

Coach Arne Slot spoke with Frimpong about joining Liverpool. Slot told him the team needed his speed and energy. Frimpong learned about Liverpool from Dutch teammates on the national squad. He started his career at Manchester City before moving to Celtic and later Leverkusen. The signing replaces Alexander Arnold after his move to Real Madrid
