Gabriel Suswam Says Opposition Coalition Will Be APC's Biggest Challenge in 2027 Elections

Gabriel Suswam warns the All Progressives Congress about a growing opposition movement. The former Benue State governor believes the planned coalition will challenge APC strongly during 2027 elections. He appeared on television Wednesday to share his views about the political alliance. Suswam said ruling party leaders should worry about the opposition group gaining power. The veteran politician expects the coalition to become a major threat.

Most Nigerian citizens feel unhappy with current government economic plans according to Suswam. He thinks the opposition alliance will use this widespread anger to attract voters. Economic problems affect every person across the country under present leadership. The coalition plans to take advantage of public frustration with government policies. Suswam believes unhappy citizens will support opposition candidates.

President Bola Tinubu called coalition organizers displaced politicians during his Nasarawa State visit Wednesday. Suswam responded by remembering how PDP leaders once dismissed APC before 2015 elections. The former governor recalled that his party ignored the opposition merger that created APC. Despite PDP confidence back then APC won the presidential race. He warned against underestimating political coalitions.

Current APC members show interest in joining the opposition movement. Suswam said this trend should concern ruling party officials. The people who join the coalition will decide how much APC should fear the alliance. Many politicians from different parties want to participate in the effort. Suswam expects the coalition to attract strong candidates for future elections.
