Gachagua Blasts Government Over Illicit Brew Resurgence

The former second-in-command, Mr Gachagua, is worried about dangerous drinks coming back to the Central area. On Sunday, he talked about this on TV from his home. He said people liked his work to stop these bad drinks.

Mr Gachagua said he had worked hard to remove these harmful drinks from Central Kenya. The people were happy when he did this. But he feels sad because these dangerous drinks have returned to their towns.

Last December, Mr Gachagua said something serious. He believed the government wanted these bad drinks to be sold in the Mt Kenya area. He thought the government told its workers to let people make and sell these harmful drinks.

Mr Omollo, an important government worker, disagreed with Mr Gachagua. He said Mr Gachagua only wanted to cause trouble with politics. Mr Omollo felt upset because Mr Gachagua used to help run the country but made these claims.

Mr Omollo thinks Mr Gachagua should care more about the families who lost loved ones because of these dangerous drinks. He believes Mr Gachagua's words might break the law. Mr Omollo wants everyone to understand this is a serious problem that hurts many families.
