Gadaffi FC demands trophies from new coach Abdallah Mubiru

Abdallah Mubiru will lead Gadaffi FC after the club secured his services as head coach. The appointment comes as the team prepares for Uganda Premier League competition following their promotion from FUFA Big League. Mubiru brings extensive coaching experience from his tenures with KCCA FC, Police FC, Proline FC, Vipers SC, and Mbeya City FC in Tanzania. He previously worked as assistant coach for the Uganda Cranes under Jonathan McKinstry. The club awarded him a two-year contract with expectations to establish stability in the top division.

Gadaffi FC earned promotion by placing second among 15 teams during the 2024/25 FUFA Big League campaign. Club President Opio Joseph Okurut described the hiring as part of a sustainable football development strategy. Mubiru expressed his commitment to building a team with clear identity and purpose. The coach emphasized his desire to create a competitive squad capable of challenging for trophies within three seasons. Management expects him to establish strong technical foundations while maintaining disciplined performance standards.
