Gambia Artists Light Up Saint Louis Art Show

The Gambia became the star guest at the 11th Artistic Itineraries of Saint-Louis art show. The event happened from May 3 to June 3, 2025, at the old IFAN center. Ndar Création Association ran the international exhibition. Artist Abdoukarim Fall directed the whole event. The show brought together 40 artists from Africa, Europe, and America.

Three Gambian artists showed their work at the exhibition. Mamat Sallah, Ebrima Gitteh, and Omar Corr represented their country. People loved their paintings and sculptures throughout the month. The artists came from many countries like Congo, Belgium, France, and the United States. Senegalese creators also joined the group.

Sallah attended the show for his third time. He said the exhibition grew bigger each year. More countries sent artists to share their work. The event helped artists from different places meet and work together. Peace and artistic talks became the main theme.

Judges picked 76 artworks from many applications. Four expert mentors helped guide the artists. They also displayed their famous pieces. The mentors were Anta Germaine Gaye, Serigne Ndiaye, Tita Mbaye, and Adama Sylla. Artists learned painting, mosaics, and sculpture through workshops.

The Saint-Louis art gathering stays important for West Africa. It helps artists connect across borders. The event promotes creativity and cultural friendship. Art becomes a bridge between different nations.
