The Gambian Government made several changes to leadership positions across different departments yesterday. Government Spokesperson Ebrima G Sankareh said these moves aim to help growth and improve government services.
The reshuffling appointed Samba Camara Mballow the new Interior Ministry Permanent Secretary. Abdoulie TB Jarra took over as Permanent Secretary in the Vice President's Office. Cordu L Jabang moved to lead the Information Ministry as its Permanent Secretary, and Amie Njie-Joof became the new Permanent Secretary for the Tourism and Culture Ministry.
Three deputy permanent secretaries also received new assignments. Saikou Trawally, Kajally Sonko, and Fanding Kinteh all moved to different ministries as part of the changes. The government believes these staff moves will improve the operation of public services.
