Garananga Returns Early as Copenhagen Gear Up for Champions League Campaign

Zimbabwe star Munashe Garan'anga cut his vacation short for Champions League duty. The defender rushed back to FC Copenhagen after they grabbed the Danish Superliga crown. His team clinched the domestic double when they bagged the Danish Cup on May 29. The Copenhagen squad earned their spot among Europe's elite clubs through their championship success. Garan'anga wants to help his teammates make waves on the continental stage.

FC Copenhagen faces a crucial qualifier match on July 29 against either FC Drita from Kosovo or FC Differdange from Luxembourg. The Danish champions must win this second round clash to advance deeper into the tournament. European competition demands peak fitness and tactical sharpness from every player. The club started their summer preparation program early to avoid any surprises. Garan'anga joined his teammates for intensive training sessions despite his holiday plans.

The team already played their opening friendly against Ludogorets on Monday. Copenhagen has another warmup match scheduled against Sparta Prague from Czech Republic on Thursday afternoon. Several more practice games will follow over the coming weeks. The coaching staff wants players match-ready before their European campaign begins. Garan'anga knows these preparation matches will determine his squad's chances of progressing through the qualifying rounds.
