Gathoni Wamuchomba Claims Political Motive Behind Committee Ouster

MP Gathoni Wamuchomba says politics caused her firing as head of the Constitutional Oversight Committee. The outspoken lawmaker thinks her strong stand against money bills led to her removal. She stays loyal to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

"I expected this would happen because I refused to back harmful finance bills that hurt people," Wamuchomba stated after leaving her position. She claims she blocked bad guys from stealing 400 acres of land in Kiambu County. This land protection effort made powerful people mad at her.

"They kicked me out, but I have zero regrets about my service," she declared firmly. "These big shots may feel mighty today, but we will make them answer for what they took. Just wait." Wamuchomba believes honest leaders cannot work under the current leaders. Yet she promises to keep fighting for open government.

"I remain the right woman for this job," she announced, showing she plans to keep pushing for a clean government. Wamuchomba harshly criticizes the current administration often. She belongs to many Gachagua supporters who were pushed from committee leadership jobs after President William Ruto teamed up with opposition leader Raila Odinga. Gachagua friends call this unfair treatment, but the administration insists these changes simply help things run better.
