MP Wamuchomba Calls for Apology as Missing Blogger Ndiangui Resurfaces

Blogger Ndiangui Kinyangia vanished on June 21 and had everyone worried sick. His family lawyer Kibe Mungai told the court that Ndiangui called his relatives Tuesday night. The missing man said he was doing fine and staying safe somewhere. Justice Chacha Mwita had ordered DCI head Mohamed Amin to show up in court and explain where Ndiangui had gone. The whole country was buzzing about this mysterious disappearance.

Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba got really upset about the whole mess. She demanded that Ndiangui say sorry to all Kenyans who fought hard for his freedom. Wamuchomba took back her earlier social media posts and dropped all her accusations. She warned that defending future disappearances would become much harder after this incident. The politician felt that Ndiangui had tricked everyone about serious security matters.

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah jumped into the debate about what happened. He said the DCI had been cleared of any wrongdoing after Ndiangui showed up safe. Many people had doubted DCI Director Mohammed Amin when he claimed they never arrested the blogger. The family had even taken the case to court demanding answers from law enforcement.

Lawyer Willis Otieno asked the judge to protect Ndiangui from police arrest after the court hearing. Justice Mwita agreed and banned officers from detaining the blogger since he became a petitioner. The court will hear this case again on July 18.
