MP Gathoni Demands Blogger Ndiangui's Apology After Court Drama

A member of parliament from Githunguri has demanded that a popular blogger say sorry to the entire nation. Gathoni Wamuchomba called out Ndiangui Kinyangia after he disappeared for weeks and caused a major panic. The blogger vanished on June 21 and his family went to court seeking help. Everyone thought the police had grabbed him and were holding him somewhere secret. His lawyer told the judge that Ndiangui phoned his relatives on Tuesday night saying he was fine.

The court had ordered the top detective chief to explain where the missing blogger was hiding. Wamuchomba felt angry because many people had worked hard trying to free him from what they thought was police custody. She took back her social media posts and said she was wrong to blame the authorities. The MP warned that future cases of missing people would be harder to fight because of this incident.

Other political leaders also criticized the blogger for tricking everyone. The majority leader said the detective agency had been cleared of any wrongdoing. Many citizens had refused to believe police officials when they said they were not holding the young man. The detective boss had been telling the truth all along about not arresting him.

A defense lawyer asked the judge to protect the blogger from arrest after he showed up in court. The judge agreed and said police cannot detain him since he is part of the legal case. The court will hear more about this matter on July 18.
