Gaye Njorro Skills Academy partnered with Afro Hair Science on Monday to host Textures Intercultural Exchange 2025 at its Kotu location. The program strengthened professional ties between Gambia and Senegal through vocational training, gender equity initiatives and medical education sessions.
Dr. Jainaba Jallow from Tanka-Tanka Hospital stated that women need confidence and aspirations that extend beyond financial resources and technical abilities. Academy CEO Fatou Gaye explained that skill development enables women to support themselves and contribute to their communities without relying on others.
Participants addressed advanced cosmetic science education, cross-border collaboration and breast cancer awareness. Medical professionals explained disease origins, warning signs and prevention methods for attendees.
