Georgi Vladov Elected Youth GERB Chairman as Borisov Warns Eurozone at Stake

Georgi Vladov won the election for Youth GERB chairman during a party meeting today. GERB leader Boyko Borisov spoke at the event and praised the new chairman. Borisov told Vladov that success takes years of hard work with citizens. The GERB leader stressed that daily contact with people matters most. He urged the new chairman to stay committed to public service.

Borisov discussed Bulgaria's path toward eurozone membership during his speech. The former prime minister said joining the eurozone remains the country's main goal. He claimed opponents want to block Bulgaria from achieving full eurozone status. Borisov accused President Radev of testing different political parties against GERB. The party leader believes democratic forces support GERB's continued existence.

The GERB chairman praised two parties for their loyalty during difficult times. He thanked ITN and BSP for standing with his party on eurozone issues. Borisov also recognized New Beginning party for its crucial support. He warned that losing New Beginning's backing would create serious problems. The party leader said Bulgaria needs these alliances to form a stable government.

Borisov expressed frustration with opposition parties and their constant questions. He asked critics to show gratitude instead of creating scandals. The former prime minister warned that Wednesday's vote could determine the government's future. He stated that without New Beginning's support, Bulgaria might lack a government after July 8. Borisov emphasized that eurozone membership depends on political cooperation.
