Ghana Energy Minister Admits Job Is Hell

Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor shared details about a recent conversation with former President Nana Akufo-Addo. The president told Jinapor that running the energy ministry ranks among the hardest government positions. Jinapor revealed this information during a Saturday event for the Gonjaland Youth Association held at Accra. The Yapei-Kusawgu MP explained how Akufo-Addo recognized the tough nature of managing energy issues. Jinapor responded that he felt confident about handling the challenges ahead.

The minister took over the energy department when experts say the sector faces major problems. Managing energy policy demands both technical skills and strong determination. Jinapor asked for continued backing from people across Gonjaland. He promised to use his cabinet role to bring more development projects to the Savannah Region. The minister emphasized his commitment to improving conditions for local communities.

The Gonjaland Youth Association gathering brought together various community leaders and politicians. Traditional authorities joined youth organizers and development partners at the ceremony. The event featured the swearing of new national officers for the association. Attendees raised money for programs targeting poverty and joblessness among young people. The fundraising also supported efforts to address educational shortfalls across the region.
