Ghana inaugurates LOC for Zone 2 Junior and Senior Swimming Championships

Ghana launched its organizing committee for the Zone 2 Junior and Senior Swimming Championships on Thursday. The aquatic competition will occur from October 3 through 5 at venues across Accra. Athletes from West and Central African nations will compete at the regional event. The championships represent Ghana's efforts to become a major aquatic sports center. Officials expect the meet to draw elite swimmers from multiple countries.

Dr. Frederick Boamah leads the seven-member committee as chairman. Seth Nti takes the secretary position for the organizing group. Committee members also feature Ayishatu Farida Iddriss and Mohammed Aputeog. Hubert Leo Mensah represents the National Sports Authority on the panel. Elizabeth Addae and Aba Katu complete the organizing team.

Dr. Boamah addressed the committee during the launch ceremony. He described the appointment as both an honor and a significant duty. The chairman emphasized his team's commitment to excellence. He promised the committee would work hard to deliver a successful event. The group pledged to meet all expectations for the competition.

The championships will provide competitive opportunities for junior and senior swimmers. Young athletes can develop their skills against regional competition.
