Sucker Punch Productions will release a day-one patch for Ghost of Yōtei that addresses performance issues and visual rendering problems. The studio confirmed to IGN that version 1.006 will be available when the game launches on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The update enhances environmental rendering performance and fixes the ray tracing mode to maintain consistent lighting. Players who use retail copies should download the patch to access gameplay fixes, animation improvements and interface corrections.
Despite these updates, Ghost of Yōtei performed well in pre-release testing. The game's primary weakness remains its strong resemblance to its predecessor, but reviewers noted this similarity does not diminish the overall quality.
The PlayStation 5 exclusive may eventually arrive on PC, following the same release pattern as the original Ghost of Tsushima.
