Ghulam Mustafa Shah chairs the Islamabad session, National Assembly to sit until August 13

Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah led the House Business Advisory Committee meeting for the National Assembly. Committee members reached an agreement that the 18th session would extend through Wednesday, August 13, 2025. The gathering began with prayers honoring the deceased Member of the National Assembly, Mian Muhammad Azhar, and requesting his spiritual elevation. Officials examined the current session agenda with emphasis on Question Hour proceedings and legislative measures benefiting citizens. These priorities will guide parliamentary discussions during the upcoming days.

Federal Ministers Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Khalid Hussain Magsi participated alongside several National Assembly members. Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Syed Hafeezuddin, Muhammad Riaz Fatyana, Paulin Baloch, Shazia Marri, Nuzhat Sadiq, and Syeda Shehla Raza attended the advisory session. The committee concentrated on advancing public welfare legislation while maintaining regular parliamentary procedures. Members worked to establish clear schedules for the remaining session activities. The meeting achieved consensus on session duration and legislative priorities moving forward.
