Giant Seal Invades Gordon's Bay Poses on Cop Car

A huge elephant seal wandered into Gordon's Bay homes during the night. Cape of Good Hope SPCA workers arrived at 7 am to help the lost animal. The male seal attracted many people who wanted to see him up close. Videos show the sea creature resting its head on a police car hood. Residents and drivers stopped to watch and take pictures of the unusual visitor.

SPCA inspector Belinda Abraham said rescue teams have everything under control. Animal experts made a plan to move the seal back to the ocean safely. A wildlife doctor will administer medicine to the seal to help it sleep peacefully. Cape Town marine workers brought a special trailer to carry the heavy animal. The rescue team aims to protect the seal and return it to its natural ocean habitat.
