Gimenez brace at San Siro leaves boss sweating

Santiago Gimenez scored twice after coming off the bench as his team defeated Bologna. He netted the equalizer at minute 73, followed by a game-winner just before time expired. His performance might earn him a starting spot against the same team in next week's Coppa Italia final.

The Mexican striker replaced Luka Jovic during the match at San Siro. When asked about starting in the upcoming final, Gimenez said he accepts whatever role his coach, Sergio Conceicao, assigns him. He believes his recent goals reflect the hard work he put in throughout the season.

Gimenez spoke humbly about his contribution, emphasizing that all squad members must stay prepared for their opportunities. He noted how every substitute can make an impact when called upon. The forward also dedicated his goals to his mother, calling her the most important person in his life.
