Under the revision, 22-carat costs Tk17,209 per gram, and 21-carat costs Tk16,427. Eighteen-carat is Tk14,080 per gram, while traditional is Tk11,698. The rates take effect on Tuesday, the committee stated. Silver stays at Tk311 for 22-carat, Tk296 for 21-carat, Tk254 for 18-carat, and Tk191 for traditional, while buyers add 5% VAT, and at least a 6% making charge that may vary by design and quality.
