The government plans to add the Tantallon Estates housing project, also called the Nyore Nyore Housing Scheme in Manyame, very soon. Bitumen World, the company handling construction, almost finished building roads there. Pinnacle Properties started this project to help the Second Republic meet its goal of making homes cheaper for everyone.
After successfully launching it in Mashonaland East, they want to spread the project to other areas across the country. During yesterday's media visit, reporters saw Bitumen World putting surface layers on all roads in Manyame District. Engineer Munyaradzi Meki from Bitumen World said they expect to finish ahead of time.
Their team has already built nearly seven kilometers of road and hopes to complete everything by late March. Thanks to good weather conditions, they started preparing road surfaces and will begin service work within two days. Daniel Garwe, who leads the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, recently visited the Nyore Nyore Housing stands.
He emphasized how the government works together with Pinnacle Property Holdings Ltd. Bitumen World must build necessary structures like roads and drainage systems. Everything needs to pass inspection before anyone can buy land or build houses there. Minister Garwe mentioned President Mnangagwa will officially launch the project soon.
The government agreed to purchase twenty thousand stands for people working as civil servants. Garwe stressed the importance of government engineers collaborating with Bitumen World. Dr. Philip Chiyangwa, who chairs the Nyore Nyore Housing Scheme, talked about the project's main purpose and confirmed the Second Republic wants to improve living standards through better housing.
They plan to create 250,000 housing units, including land plots, apartments, and business areas. The public, not just government workers, can apply for these homes. This project should greatly increase available housing throughout the country and support national development goals.
