Government Hands Over Agricultural Equipment to Matabeleland North Districts

Zimbabwe delivered farming tools to seven districts across Matabeleland North Province on Monday. The equipment helps farmers work more efficiently across the region. Officials distributed vehicles for department leaders and solar power systems for agriculture workers. Eight tractors came with special machines that make animal feed from crops.

Farmers welcomed the new equipment with enthusiasm. One farmer said the tools make agriculture logistics much easier. Another person noted the equipment arrives when farming activities are growing across the province. The recipients expressed gratitude for government support.

Minister Richard Moyo leads provincial affairs and development for Matabeleland North. He stressed the importance of caring for the new equipment properly. Moyo explained that the Second Republic creates opportunities for all citizens. He urged residents to protect the valuable farming tools.

The equipment serves a vital purpose for the dry province. Farmers face challenges because of limited rainfall throughout the year. The new tractors and feed-making machines prepare communities for drought periods. Animal owners often struggle to find enough food for their livestock during difficult seasons.

The tractors produce silage that feeds cattle and other animals. This preparation prevents livestock deaths when natural grass becomes scarce. The solar equipment powers extension services that help farmers learn better techniques. Government investment strengthens food security across the entire province.
