Government to end double track schools by 2027

Ghana plans to end double-track schooling at high schools by 2027. Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu shared this news with school heads during their Sunyani meeting. He told CHASS members about upcoming changes to help make this happen.

The government will change school subjects plus fix how GETFund money works. Mr. Iddrisu promised a new board would start working next Monday. This board must approve all spending properly. He said education remains a top priority for national development. GETFund money will keep building better schools across the country.

The minister wants everyone to know that double-track classes will disappear within three years. This system started because schools had more students than space. The education ministry believes curriculum updates will help solve these problems. School heads heard how human development matters for Ghana's future. These changes aim to improve education for all students.
