Governor Buni Redefines Retirement With New Skills Training

Governor Buni from Yobe State thinks retirement starts a brand new life chapter instead of ending careers. He expressed this idea when Tonga Betara Bularafa, the newly picked Head of Civil Service, visited him at Government House on Thursday to say thanks. According to the governor, people should see retirement as their chance to keep growing, try new things, and make useful contributions.

Buni talked to the young government employees who came with the new Head of Service. He told them they should copy Bularafa's strong work habits, like staying disciplined, committed, and devoted to their jobs, if they want successful careers. The governor also ordered the creation of training sessions for government workers about to retire. These classes would teach them fresh skills and help them discover different job paths after they leave.

The governor explained that his plan aims to make the transition into retirement much smoother. It gives former workers ways to develop themselves personally and stay financially stable. Learning these new abilities helps government employees prepare for all the challenges and opportunities coming their way after retirement. Buni emphasized that people can find satisfying work beyond serving the public.
