GTA 6 delayed again, now set for November 2026

Grand Theft Auto 6, one of the most highly anticipated video game releases in recent memory, has been delayed once again, with its new launch date set for November 19, 2026. The sequel from Rockstar Games was initially planned for a May 2026 release after already being pushed back from its original autumn 2025 window. Rockstar explained that additional time is needed to meet the standards players expect, apologizing for the extended wait and thanking fans for their patience.

Set in the fictional state of Leonida, modeled after Florida and featuring a modern version of Vice City, the game has already generated significant buzz online, with fans expressing a mix of frustration and humor at the news. Some social media users voiced their impatience, while others supported the decision to avoid rushing the release. The announcement comes after recent layoffs at Rockstar’s UK studios, with union representatives claiming the dismissals were linked to union activity. Despite the long development timeline and mounting costs, industry watchers expect GTA 6 to break records once it arrives, though whether it will match expectations remains uncertain.
