Gusto scores first goal as Chelsea beat Wolves 3-0

Chelsea defeated Wolverhampton 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, advancing to second place in the Premier League standings with 20 points from 11 fixtures. Defender Malo Gusto opened scoring in the 51st minute with his inaugural senior goal across 165 career matches, followed by strikes from Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto that sealed the victory over the league's bottom club.

The hosts struggled to generate scoring opportunities during the opening period, prompting jeers from supporters at halftime despite preventing the Wolves from registering a shot attempt before the break. Alejandro Garnacho, who arrived from Manchester United for 40 million pounds during the summer transfer window, provided two assists in a Premier League match for the first time across 99 appearances in the competition.

Wolves operated under interim leadership from academy staff James Collins and Richard Walker pending the anticipated hiring of Middlesbrough boss Rob Edwards. The visitors managed minimal offensive production while remaining at the table's base with two points through 11 contests.
