Haaland admits son makes him care less about football

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland described his winning goal against Brentford as among his career's finest after physical exchanges with defender Sepp van den Berg motivated his performance on Saturday. The Norwegian forward said Van den Berg's early pushing energized him despite pre-match fatigue, and he credited the confrontation for sparking his competitive drive in the 1-0 victory.

Haaland stated he has reached peak form through enhanced physical preparation, mental readiness, and improved work-life balance. The striker revealed that fatherhood had transformed his approach by reducing constant football preoccupation, and he said relaxation at home has elevated his professional standards. Haaland confirmed he no longer obsesses over matches as frequently as before becoming a parent.
