Heart of Lions striker Oppong completes move to Cambodian top-flight side Visakha FC

Nana Kwasi Oppong has signed with Visakha FC after leaving Kpando Heart of Lions. The striker found the net 11 times during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. His goal total made him the fourth best scorer across all teams. Berekum Chelsea player Stephen Amankona earned the Golden Boot award. Oppong will bring his scoring ability to Cambodian football.

Visakha FC finished third place during the recent Cambodian League campaign. The team came close to earning a spot for the Asian Champions League but fell short. Strong financial backing helps the club compete at the highest level. Ke Suon Sophy serves as the team owner and holds significant influence. Her husband Sar Sokha works as Cambodia's Interior Minister.

The squad featured three international players during the previous season. Leng Nora represents Cambodia as a left-back defender. His family roots trace back to Ghana through his ancestors. The team expects Oppong to strengthen their offensive attack. His arrival should help Visakha achieve better results next season.
